The battery charger with 45W output can charge a battery faster than chargers with 25W or 15W, but your device have to support a super fast charging.

Battery charging with 15W charger is called the fast charging.

Battery charging with 25W charger or 45W charger is called the super fast charging.

For example, if your phone doesn't support a super fast charging and you will use a 25W or 45W charger, the battery will be not charged faster.

To fully charge a 5000 mAh battery, it will take approximately:

  • 2 hours and 10 minutes with 15W charger
  • 1 hour and 10 minutes with 25W charger
  • 1 hour with 45W charger

The charging speed may vary on devices. The times above are related to Samsung phone and charger.
Before you start charging your device, you have to check the settings, to find out if it supports fast charging or super fast charging.

If your device supports fast charging or super fast charging, you have to make sure if is it enabled in the settings, because it may be disabled.
Battery charging with 45W charger isn't much faster in comparison to 25W charger. I have expected that 45W charger will charge the battery almost a twice faster.

Why is the difference between charging with 45W and 25W charger only 10 minutes ?
