Geolocation retrieved from an IP address can be more or less accurate.

IP address is assigned by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Your can have assigned a static IP address or dynamic IP addres, which is changed within a few days or weeks.

Geolocation retrieved from an IP address is usually quite accurate at the level of the country, but less accurate at the regional level.

IP address assigned to an office or home internet connection is often quite accurate at the level of the city, city block or region.

IP address assigned to a mobile device is usually quite inaccurate.

But some Internet Service Providers may use only an IP address linked to their office location. So they assign a location-inaccurate IP address to your internet connection. Because of this, the geolocation retrieved from your IP address is not accurate at the regional (city) level.
The accuracy of geolocation retrieved from an IP address is quite high. In case of the location-accurate IP addresses, many vendors claim more than 90% accuracy.

But the IP geolocation is not absolutely accurate. It can be accurate at the level of city, district or street, but it will not reveal the exact address, house number or device location.
