Boarding pass with QR code scanned from taken photo on phone ?

Is it possible to use a taken photo of boarding pass with QR code ?
Will the scanner read a QR code from my phone ?

It is not recommended to use a taken photo of your boarding pass at the airport. QR code in the photo may not be big enough or sharp enough. The photo may be also not taken under the right angle. Because of that, the scanner could have a problem with QR code reading.
