Yes, you can make a free bus change within an hour of touching in. It is called a Hopper fare.

With hopper fare, tou can do unlimited number of bus changes within the first hour of travelling.

For example:
If you need to change the bus twice during your journey and you make the changes within 1 hour of touching in, then you will be charged only a fee for the single bus journey.

When travelling only by buses or trams during a day in London, there is a lower daily cap.
