Format bootable USB drive to FAT32 or NTFS - difference
Hi, should I format bootable USB drive for Windows to FAT32 or NTFS ? What is the difference between them ?
NTFS is newer than FAT32. There are more differences like compatibility, file size limit, fault tolerance etc. If you have to use NTFS or FAT32 depends on your device. The limit for file size in FAT32 is 4GB. You will have to probably try both. Another option can be to try to format the USB to FAT32 and then copy the NTFS boot files on it manually.
