Getting in shape for summer can take a few months. How long does it take depends on the following factors:
  • In what shape are you today ?
  • What is the expected shape you want to be in ?
  • How many times a week do you plan to work out ?
  • When was the last time you worked out ?

If you have never worked out or if the last time you worked out was more than 3 months ago, then you need 2-3 weeks for a pre-workout. This period will help you to get ready for proper trainings. It is not recommended to start work out hard, wihtout having some light trainings, because you can get an intense muscle soreness, that can prevent you from working out for even for a week.

To get in better shape, you need to work out 2-3 times a week.

You can see the first improvements after the 3-4 weeks of proper working out.

To noticeably improve your shape you need to work out at least for 3 months.

So, to get in better shape for summer, you have to start work out 3-4 months before.
To get in better shape, you have to not just work out multiple times a week. You have to also adjust the intake of protein, carbs and fat, depending on what is your fitness goal.

The intake of protein, carbs and fat is different for gaining muscle, losing weight or improving physical strength.
If you start workout at least 3 months before summer, 2-3 days a week, you can get in visibly better shape.

Starting workout just 1 month before summer is simply not enough. It can make you feel better, but it will not make your shape noticeably better.

To get in better shape, you have to adjust your workout routine, meal plan and have enough rest.
Starting to workout 3-4 months before summer is enough to significantly improve your shape. The first workouts may hurt a bit more. But after you get into a workout routine, it will get better.

Before you start workout, plan your workout routine.
