Is Sony camera kit lens good enough ? Buy camera with kit lens ?

Is Sony camera kit lens good enough ? Can it make a quality photos and videos ? Should I buy a camera with or without kit lens ?

Sony kit lenses have quite a good quality. I have experience with Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6. The lens allows to make a high quality photos and videos. If the focal length would start from 20mm, the lens would be really good.

Some say the kit lenses can make a sharp image in the centre, but not so sharp on the edges.
