Premier League - three or five substitutions per match ?

Are clubs in English Premier League allowed to do three or five substitutions during league match ?

Premier League teams approved new substitution rules in the current season. The maximum number of substitues, that club can use in the league match is now increased from three to five. There was also increased the maximum number of substitute players on the bench from seven to nine.

The five substitutions rule in Premier League is only a temporary change, so it should be valid until the end of the 2019/20 season.

From 2022-23 season, the clubs in Premier league will be permitted o use five substitutions, to be made on three occasions during a match, with an additional opportunity at half-time.
