What type of camera lens is good for YouTube videos ? Is better to have a camera with large or short lens ?

For a YouTube videos it is better to use short lenses, because they have wider angle, so you can "get more" into video.

Short lenses have focal length up to 35mm. These lenses are suitable for vlogging.

Lenses with focal length bellow 20mm allow you to capture a lot of the scene from a short distance. But some types of video recorded with 16mm lens may look not the best.

Lenses with focal length between 20mm and 30mm can provide a more natural look.
